Hakata station is 4 hours 50 minutes from Tokyo station by the JR Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen Line, and 2 hours 20 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station.
Public Transport System in Hakta
City bus services operate from the Kotsu bus centre in Hakata and the Tenjin bus centre. There are two subway lines in Fukuoka/ Hakata. The Kuko (airport) line runs from Fukuoka domestic airport terminal to Meinohama station via Hakata, Nakasu-Kawabata and Tenjin stations. The Hakozaki line runs from Nakasu-Kawabata station to Kaizuka. Trains stop running around midnight.

The streetcar system is your best choice for travel between sites of interest in Nagasaki. It avoids any delays caused by heavy traffic. There are four streetcar routes, each of which operates trains at 5-to-8 minute intervals. The fare is only ¥100 for rides of any length. The Day Pass allows an unlimited number of rides for one basic fare. What's more, your expired pass will serve as a useful souvenir bookmark.
